Tremendously Intense Erotic Situations

Where the Elite Meet to Beat

An organization for the Leather, B&D, D/S, S&M, and other kinky acronym people in the Twin City area. We promote erotic play that is safe, sane, and consensual. We are pansexual, pro-freedom, and pro-sex.

TIES (Tremendously Intense Erotic Situations)is a pansexual (GLBT, het, bi, asexual, any consensual sexual orientation at all, and any shape of wabbly bits is welcome) BDSM-oriented (Bondage & Discipline, Domination / Submission, Sadism / Masochism) organization. Based very loosely on New York's The Eulenspiegel Society, it's intended to be a venue for like-minded people to meet one another, a source of information for people in the scene, and as a gateway, in which other groups can meet each other and the public. TIES was founded in May, 1995.

This is a web site in transition - new host, new features, lots of new code I haven't had time to complete yet. Most of it will work, but not all of it will work well. When it's all been tested and updated, this paragraph will disappear.

TIES hosts several types of events: discussion meetings, social gatherings, parties at which BDSM play is encouraged (known as PlayParties), and educational seminars (well, we've produced one, and will probably do it again when the opportunity presents itself). Follow the TIES Meeting link on the left of this page to get more details on those. The most widely-attended event is our monthly burgermunch, or Munch (a social gathering at a semi-public place at which food is available), on the last Wednesday of each month. Further information on that can be found on the TIES Meetings and FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) pages. The calendar for these and other events can be found on the BDSM Events page.

TIES also hosts an email list, on which people can discuss almost anything that their hearts desire, but which is intended primarily for discussions, news, and notices relevant to the BDSM community. People who wish to join the TIES e-mail discussion list can do so at the web page where you can subscribe to, or unsubscribe from, the all NEW! TIES mailing list, aka list@ties-bdsm.org.
Take me to the TIES-list web page.

While TIES memberships are available, there is no requirement that anyone purchase one; there are no member-only events. Anyone who attends any TIES events is considered an Associate. TIES has four club officers (called Ossifers, because we take ourselves so seriously), no elections, and no voting, unless Midnight Writer wants an opinion poll. Not much politics, either.

TIES has very few rules of behavior, but they are very strict. All TIES Ossifers, Members and Associates are expected to honor rules of consent (to violate another's consent is grounds for banishment) and confidentiality (to abuse another's privacy is assumed to violate their consent - see above). TIES is very tolerant of any behavior that does not violate another's consent. It should be noted, however, that TIES does not consent to unlawful behavior that may cause legal difficulties for its Ossifers, Members, or Associates.

This web site and all of its contents (except for the Leather Pride Flag, which is specifically in the public domain) are copyright by Dan Brady (or the respective copyright holder, when other materials are used by permission). Some code was graciously donated (as in, MW couldn't have gotten by without it) by the folks at BetterNerds.com. They're good people, but they like us anyway.

This web site is coded and maintained by Midnight Writer, the TIES Manager (and Ultimate Dictator For Life). Suggestions, requests, and feedback for either TIES or this web site can be emailed to the TIES mailbox, found by clicking on the email us button below.
