SubSpace

A discussion and support group specifically for submissives, bottoms, and switches who primarily identify as subs or bottoms. SubSpace meets monthly in a private home on the second Wednesday of every month, from 8:00pm (gather no earlier than 7:30, please) to 10:00. We have a check-in period to find out how participants are doing and to identify issues for group input. We also set a topic of discussion for each month. Topics have included negotiation, humiliation play, first experiences, and finding a Dominant/Top.

Please contact Julie or Dan (Midnight Writer) at a Munch for location information.

Dom(me)'s Domain

A monthly discussion group for dominants, tops, and switches who will, during the meeting, identify as such. DD meets in a private home on the third Monday of every month, from 8:00 PM (gather no earlier than 7:30, please) until 10:00. Issues discussed will vary depending upon the interests of those attending, and have included toys, the joys and pitfalls of humiliation play, and how to find, keep, and train a new submissive. Please see Dan Brady or Don (ToySlut)at a Munch for location information, or email Dan (MW) Brady, the evil TIES Overlord.

DD also is a venue for the dom(me)s to demonstrate their personal styles of domination and/or training. To this end, we accept volunteer servers for each meeting; service-oriented submissives who perform snack/beverage service for the meeting, under the particular direction of one of the dominants.

Volunteers for serving a room full of dominants for an evening (no painplay, no sexual service - sorry!) are encouraged to volunteer to Dan (Midnight Writer) at the TIES Munch, or via e-mail to Midnight Writer.

The TIES Munch

The monthly TIES Munch, held on the last Wednesday of every month, is a large, informal social gathering for the BDSM and other kinky acronym people in the upper Midwest. It is held in the downstairs meeting room of:

The Moose on Monroe  (click name to get map/directions)
356 Monroe St. NE
Minneapolis, MN

This is in NE Minneapolis, at the intersection of Monroe and Spring. Once in the front door, turn right and look for the door on your right - that will lead downstairs to the Munch.

The Munch starts at 7:30 PM (no early arrivals, please - unless you're a vendor) and runs until you leave. The only official segment of the evening is the announcements, which usually start at 8:30 or so. Other than that, it's a big cocktail/supper party with cash bar, filled with kinksters, perverts, and leatherfolk - and any curious types that are attending just to see how normal we all look, mostly.

The Munch is a no-play event. While some testing/demo of toys on sale or brought to show off is tolerated, and there are occasional birthday spankings, the comfort level of newcomers is paramount, so everyone is expected to behave themselves. Violation of another's consent at any TIES event is grounds for immediate and permanent banishment from all TIES events.

The dress code is largely nonexistent - people wear everything from office clothes to fetish costumes. We do ask that people wear street clothing to get in the door - there are rest rooms to change in, and shocking the customers upstairs is rude. We do ask that people keep their dress reasonably street-legal, but this does not always happen. If anyone is uncomfortable about another's dress or behavior, they are asked to bring it to the attention of Midnight Writer, Story, or any other TIES officer as soon as possible.

Mostly, it's a very informal, friendly crowd, quite easy to get along with. Many first-timers are surprised at just how friendly and comfortable a crowd of sadists, masochists, submissives, dominants, and other sexual deviants can be.

If you've still got questions about the Munch, perhaps a peek at the TIES Munch FAQ may be helpful.
